Nexus 5 2015: LG and Huawei-made Google Nexus handsets specs and features leaked

It has been rumored for some time now that Google is planning to release two new Nexus smartphone devices this year. These two new devices are expected to be co-developed by South Korean giant LG Electronics and Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.

Recently, new details in regards to the specifications of the LG and Huawei Nexus phones have been revealed by Gizmo China, according to reports.

According to Techno Buffalo both Nexus smartphones are expected to come with Google's latest Android M (OS) operating system pre-installed.

The LG Nexus is expected to sport a 5.2 inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It will have a 13 mega pixel rear-facing camera and a 4 mega pixel front-facing camera that comes with iris scanning technology. In addition, it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor, a 4GB RAM and, a 64GB built-in memory storage, a 3180mAh battery, according to a report by Uber Gizmo.

Techno Buffalo adds that a USB Type C port connection and a power button on the back with a fingerprint scanner might exist in the new LG Nexus phone as well.

On the other hand, Huawei's Nexus phone was rumored to sport a 5.7 inch display screen with a higher 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. There will be Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor inside, a fingerprint sensor as well, a whopping 21 mega pixel camera on the back and wireless charging capability. Other specs of the Huawei Nexus still remain unclear as of this time.

In terms of the design, the LG Nexus is expected to sport a metal frame and a rear plastic panel, while the Huawei Nexus is rumored to sport a metal unibody, according recent leaks.

In terms of the price, Android Headlines reports that the LG Nexus might cost somewhere between US$300 and US$400, while the Huawei Nexus might cost more that.
