An inter-conference matchup will take place today, Saturday, when the New York Knicks pay the Houston Rockets a visit at the Toyota Center as they try to keep their winning streak rolling.

The Knicks are currently riding a three-game winning streak, with their recent success a 93–90 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder to open a four-game road trip.

Leading the way for New York was franchise star forward Carmelo Anthony who had 25 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 35 minutes of action.

The Knicks' starting backcourt of guards Arron Afflalo and Jose Calderon also played well against Oklahoma City tallying 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Forward Lance Thomas lit it up from the bench, contributing 12 points, three rebounds, and one assist.

The victory placed the Knicks on the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference standings with a 7–6 record, identical with the Charlotte Hornets who are 11th in the conference.

Meanwhile the Rockets, following a huge overtime win against the Portland Trail Blazers after the firing of former head coach Kevin McHale, again found themselves losing.

Houston fell to the Memphis Grizzlies last Friday 96–84, dropping to 5–8 for the 10th place in the Western Conference standings.

Last year's runner-up for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, guard James Harden, led the Rockets with 22 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Harden was helped by veteran forward Trevor Ariza who had 19 points and center Dwight Howard who tallied a double-double 12 points with 15 rebounds.

The Rockets' struggles this season are surprising since they have the same core as last season when they were prominent contenders in the West and even made it as far as the conference finals.

The game between the Knicks and Rockets will take place today, Nov. 21, at 8:00 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.
