Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) will travel to Sudan for an emergency mission in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "NCIS."

In "Saviors," Cartermatt reports that rebels in the North African country will attack and kidnap a group of volunteer doctors. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) will be tapped to do a rescue operation. For DiNozzo, he will be surprised to meet once again someone from his past. Jeanne Benoit's (Scottie Thompson) husband is one of the volunteers and she fears for his life. DiNozzo's ex-girlfriend will ask him for help and he will not disappoint. McGee will be sent with him to the crime scene, as they attempt to track the missing doctors. Will they find them in time?

Also in episode 8, Dr. Taft (Jon Cryer), the specialist who took such good care of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), is back. The website posits that his return has something to do with the agent's health. While Gibbs appear to be back to normal, discounting his crabby behavior, his near-death experience should not be taken lightly. Viewers should expect that his recovery may take a while. Dr. Taft's reappearance may attest to this.

Last episode, the squad teamed up with a secret society dedicated in solving cold cases. Sherlock Consortium for Investigation was tapped when one of its member divulged its existence. When Dr. Donald Mallard (David McCallum) learned that they were investigating the murder of retired Lt. Cdr. Runyan Hayes, he told Gibbs he knew far more about the man than they ever could.

Hayes' son Michael (Matthew John Armstrong) was imprisoned for a shipboard murder 16 years ago. The society believed that the hair analysis used to convict him was tampered with. Upon reinvestigating the case, the NCIS was able to pinpoint that Michael's friend and former shipmate was the true culprit. Michael was set free and was reunited with his daughter.

"NCIS" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
