The squad will team up with the Australian Defence Force Investigation Service to solve a murder case in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "NCIS: New Orleans."

In "Foreign Affairs," TV Guide reports that the joining of forces comes after a Royal Navy lieutenant is murdered in New Orleans. Things become more complicated after it is disclosed that the victim is the key to international negotiations on nuclear weapons. A special agent is sent to investigate the incident and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) must work with him to solve the case.

Last episode, the team investigated the death of a Navy drone pilot who was using a black market drone to obtain military surveillance. Lieutenant Max Griggs' (Jody Mullins) body was found a few days after his car had been spray-painted "Killer." With so few leads to follow, Pride (Scott Bakula) and his agents decided to find out whether there were any leaks regarding Griggs' identity, as drone pilots were supposed to be anonymous. His commanding officer, however, was not so forthcoming with details about the possible reasons why his man was murdered.

With Sebastian's (Rob Kerkovich) hard work, they learned that the victim was doing aerial surveillance on most of the military bases in New Orleans. Pride was afraid that he was actually spying on his government. When they found the drone he was using during his death, they managed to narrow down the search. Griggs was obsessed with the fields that surrounded the military bases, and they soon found out that he has been looking for the body of a Louisa Banks who disappeared a while back.

It turned out that Griggs was murdered by a soldier after he learned of the latter's secret. The drone pilot once saved a unit back in Afghanistan. He then overheard an officer admitting to another gunner that he was involved in a hit and run and that he buried the poor woman out in the field.

"NCIS: New Orleans" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
