Elliot (Rami Malek) will try to come to terms with the shocking truth that Shayla (Frankie Shaw) is gone in the upcoming episode of USA Network's cyberpunk-thriller drama series "Mr. Robot."
In "eps1.6_v1ew-s0urce.flv," the young hacker will deal with the nightmare he is in by the only way he knows how — to walk away from everything. Cartermatt reports that Elliot will go missing as he finds a way to understand what happened to Shayla. His guilt that he may have been, in some ways, to blame for her death will continue to torment him; and it may even lead to his further detachment from the world.
Meanwhile, Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) will take countermeasures to keep fsociety intact. TV Guide reports that the mysterious leader will try to pull the group back together after what happened in Steel Mountain. Angela (Portia Doubleday), for her part, will face her old nemesis.
To say that the previous episode was a shocker was an understatement. Vera (Elliot Villar) ordered that Elliot hack his way into the prison's network to free him. He even sent two tugs to threaten Shayla should he not comply with the demands. Unfortunately, Darlene (Carly Chaikin) was also captured by Vera and Elliot was forced to do the unthinkable.
His plan was to open every cell door for Vera's escape. He told Vera that if he reneged on the deal, he would leak the crook's info and delete all his money. Mr. Robot tried to warn Elliot that the only outcome to the scenario was that Vera would win and Shayla would die.
While Darlene flirted with the prison guard, Elliot set out to accomplish his plans. It helped that Vera's brother complicated the matter, as he tried to kill the crook. When the doors opened, a riot ensued. Vera managed to kill his sibling, then handed Elliot the keys to the car where Shayla was being kept. But when he opened the trunk, he saw her lifeless body. Shayla's throat had been slit.
"Mr. Robot" airs Wednesday 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
