According to a recent report by The Verge, the Moto X is now called the Moto X Style. The report adds that the new Moto X Style looks almost identical to the previous Moto X handset that was released last year.

In addition, Motorola also unveiled another new variant, called the Moto X Play, which comes with a smaller display screen in comparison with the Moto X Style.

The Moto X Style sports a large 5.7-inch display screen with a Quad HD pixel resolution. One of the interesting features of this device, according to reports, is its powerful 21-megapixel primary camera and its fast battery charging capability. According to the Verge, the Moto X Style is expected to be available in September for about US$400.

For the Moto X Play, it has been reported that this phone will sport a 5.5-inch display screen and will pack a whopping 3,630 mAh battery, which can last up to 48 hours, according to Motorola, and can quickly charge in just 15 minutes. This phone is expected to be available first in Europe, Latin American countries, and Canada.

CNET reports that the Moto X Play is expected to be available by next month, and will cost about US$300 or US$400 less than today's high-end smartphones.

The new Moto G 3rd generation smartphone was also unveiled during the event. In comparison with the two abovementioned smartphones, the Moto G 3rd generation is a low-end device that have the same 5.5-inch display screen like its predecessor. However, unlike the Moto X Play, the Moto G 3rd generation is expected to support Long-Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity.
