Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors 2016: Greg Monroe, Michael Carter-Williams available for deals?

As the promise is failing for the Milwaukee Bucks this season, two names are now linked to trade rumors and these are center Greg Monroe and point guard Michael Carter-Williams.

Last season, the Bucks surprised the basketball world, finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference and making it to the playoffs while having a young core led by head coach Jason Kidd.

However, this season is molding out to be different from the previous one, with Milwaukee having a hard time winning and is on a five-game losing slump.

Because of the struggles, the Bucks are now interested to make trade moves before the deadline on Feb. 18, RealGM.com reported.

"From what I'm hearing is they (the Bucks) are willing to trade anybody not named (Jabari) Parker, (Giannis) Antetokounmpo or (Khris) Middleton," a National Basketball Association (NBA) executive said, according to the report.

The executive added, "I even heard they'd listen (to offers) for Parker and Middleton, but it would have to be some crazy offer. They want to do something; they know they have to do something. That group they have isn't working."

The recent trade interest dragged Monroe and Carter-Williams to the rumor mill, and the two might leave soon.

Monroe signed with Milwaukee in the offseason and was a key acquisition because of his performance with former team the Detroit Pistons.

However, despite the 25-year-old averaging 16.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 30.4 minutes played per game, RealGM stated that he is a "liability on defense" for the Bucks.

Meanwhile, Carter-Williams is also playing well, averaging 11.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.6 steals in 30.7 minutes of action per outing.

But still, the Bucks are not winning games even if the two are doing great this season, which may signal to them leaving to salvage a failing campaign.

The Bucks are 13th in the Eastern Conference standings with a 20–32 record and will face the thriving Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
