Milwaukee Bucks second-year forward Jabari Parker's return from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury suffered last season was put on pause due to a right foot sprain.

The injury is preventing Parker from joining Milwaukee in its three-game Eastern Conference road trip which began last Tuesday with a 115–86 defeat to the Washington Wizards.

Parker went through a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) last Monday and will undergo a number of tests, according to ESPN

In the Bucks' defeat to the Wizards, leading the way was guard Khris Middleton who had 14 points, two rebounds, and one steal.

Veteran playmaker Jerryd Bayless followed with 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Bayless' fellow point guards Michael Carter-Williams and Greivis Vasquez also contributed on offense, scoring 12 points each in a losing effort.

The loss dropped the Bucks to 5–6 and are now sitting on the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Milwaukee head coach Jason Kidd said following the defeat, according to the Associated Press, "We're not a secret. We're not a surprise as last year, and that means teams are going to prepare for you and you can't have any mental breakdowns."

Kidd added, "For a young team, we're still a long ways away from the mental side of our game being at the level of the best teams in this league."

Meanwhile, the Wizards were led by point guard John Wall and forward Otto Porter Jr. who tallied 19 points each.

Veteran guard Jared Dudley added 13 points off the bench and center Marcin Gortat had 12 points to help Washington, with the two also combining for 16 rebounds.

The Wizards improved to 5–4 and are now on the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference.
