Two-time Formula One world champion Mika Häkkinen reminisced the time he won the 2000 Belgian Grand Prix, recalling the moment he passed seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher during the race. Häkkinen now prays for a miracle for his former rival and friend.

Schumacher suffered a horrific skiing accident back in December 2013 and since then, no significant news regarding his condition has been released.

His wife, Corrina Schumacher, pursued legal action last month against three publications that reported false progress about the racing legend's condition.

Since being comatosed following the accident, Schumacher has received support from family and friends who continue to hope for his speedy recovery.

In his recent blog post that may be viewed here, Häkkinen remembered facing Schumacher whom, during that time, he considered his rival. He also recalled the pass that made him win the 2000 Belgian Grand Prix, which he referred to as the "greatest circuit of all time."

In a very detailed manner, Häkkinen narrated vividly what happened during the race in his recent blog entry.

The 46-year-old racing star then addressed his old rival regarding his condition and said, according to NBC Sports, "I hope and pray that those encouraging signs are continuing still. No, he will never race again; no, he may never walk again; he may never talk again, for all I know. But, on the other hand, he may. Miracles sometimes occur, and I for one dearly hope that a miracle occurs for Michael some time soon. Keep fighting, my old friend."

Häkkinen also spoke about the aggressiveness of Schumacher, which he said is a characteristic of champions since one cannot win seven world championships if he were softhearted.

Meanwhile, in other news, Corrina had a rare public appearance, according to reports, as she supported their daughter Gina who competed at the recently concluded FEI European Championships and, according to Yibada.com, won in the Juniors and Young Riders division.
