Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date with Windows 10 OS

There are rumors going around that Microsoft is planning to release the next Surface Pro much sooner than what fans expected. However, a much later date seems to be closer to the truth.

Observers and hardcor fans of the Redmond-based company were a bit disappointed when the annual Microsoft Build Conference came and went, without any details or even hints at all about the upcoming Surface Pro 4.

The Surface Pro series is one of the company's hardware flagships, with the current Surface Pro 3 a consistent top rater for many users and reviewers; it was therefore expected that Microsoft would at least give some hints about developments of the 2-in-1 laptop series.

Strangely, though, the whole Build Conference was focused solely with the upcoming new Microsoft platform, Windows 10. The event showcased the new operating system's technical improvements, new features, and how the company plans the upcoming platform to be the last version.

Some observers note that since Microsoft is placing much credence and hype on its upcoming platform, it stands to reason that upcoming devices under their banner should also showcase how flexible Windows 10 can be. There are already reports circulating that Microsoft is planning to release two new flagship Lumia phones that would come with Windows 10 out of the box.

Consequently, reports that the Surface Pro 4 will be released in either October or November this year and would come with Windows 10 right off the box seems to carry some weight.

Aside from fully utilizing the new hybrid tablet's much improved specs when used in conjunction with Windows 10, having the platform installed into the Surface Pro 4 when it is launched is a good marketing strategy that dovetails with the Windows 10 launch's timeframe. Microsoft is reportedly going out with the Windows 10 in a staggered schedule, with the PC version being released first, followed by tablet and mobile devices.
