HoloLens, an augmented reality headset which they plan to release in the first quarter of 2016, will be powered by Windows 10.

According to Microsoft, HoloLens is the first wireless holographic computer that will allow its user to interact with three dimensional computer images that it projects in the real world. It is battery operated, with adjustable headbands carefully crafted to give its user comfort while using the headset.

Unlike other virtual reality headsets, HoloLens gives its user an opportunity to interact with their surroundings. It can be used for a variety of purposes. Users can use it for work, games, or even for medical purposes.

Terry Myerson, executive vice president of Microsoft's Windows and devices group told CNET on Tuesday, "Whether it's for productivity, health care, design, or entertainment, HoloLens creates experiences that aren't possible on any other device, or any other platform."

Gamers will soon be able to immerse themselves directly in the game through the use of this technology. All they have to do is to wear the head gear and use a remote control to maneuver their actions.

This video below demonstrates how the Hololens will perform.

After the player wears the headset, the remote control turns into a weapon. HoloLens then projects the images that the player interacts with. Since it has the ability to detect objects around the player's environment, it brings a more customized experience for the user.

And since HoloLens is wireless, the user can move around without cables to impede movement which also helps the user exercise. With the Microsoft HoloLens, the users themselves become the character in the game.

The Microsoft HoloLens headsets will be available for developer and commercial audiences in the United States and Canada by the early quarter of 2016.

The initial developer edition of the HoloLens will reportedly cost $3,000.

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
