Michael Schumacher health update 2016: despite reports of recovery, family know truth

Almost three years after renowned F1 world champion Michael Schumacher's accident, it has been rumored that he is making good progress in terms of his recovery. However, according to Parent Herald, this is not the case and it is possible that his health is in fact deteriorating.

According to the report, the the inconsistencies began when former Ferrari executive Luca di Montezemolo was quoted by multiple outlets as saying he had seen Schumacher and that he claimed Schumacher was responding to treatments and was on the way to recovery, although no full progress report has been stated.

It turns out the statement is several months old and Montezemolo's spokesman has stated that no such claims regarding Schumacher's health and recovery were ever made. This would coincide with the media blackout that the family started, keeping journalists and reports out of the Schumacher home in Geneva, Switzerland.

Parent Herald continues to state that Schumacher's condition has remained unchanged and that it is even speculated that his health is deteriorating instead of improving. Due to this, rumors have sparked that the family may be going through a stage of depression and might be giving up on keeping Schumacher hooked to his live support.

This would contradict previous reports claiming that Schumacher has already gained the ability to look around and respond with his eyes. It has been stated that Schumacher cries when he hears and recognizes the voices of his family but at this point cannot respond as he is paralyzed and bed-stricken.

It is further stated in the report that despite the possibility of Schumacher's health declining and his family giving up if no improvement takes place, considering how expensive it is to keep him medicated and supervised, fans of the legendary racer are still offering their support and the hashtag #KeepFightingMichael has remained a trending topic on social media.
