'Mass Effect: Andromeda': No first-person POV; game to feature 'juicy, action-packed' plot

One of the features long-time "Mass Effect" fans have been eager to see in the franchise is a first-person multiplayer set. But it looks like the developers at Bioware are not ready to give in to that request yet. That being said, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will maintain a third-person POV.

When a fan pitched the idea to "Mass Effect" senior development director Chris Wynn during a Twitter Q&A session, he simply said that doing such "would be pretty expensive and risky," suggesting that this will forever be a tall order.

He, however, assured gamers that there will be a cool new "juicy, action-packed" plot to follow in "Mass Effect: Andromeda," but the game studio seems unwilling to reveal it yet. Wynn also assured a fan that dancing animation in the game isn't one to worry about (after expressing how odd the subject is).

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" was always touted to be the biggest in the series yet. This is because gamers will be hurled into a whole new galaxy that's sprawling and teeming with new extraterrestrials to befriend and battle.

In related news, Drew Karpyshyn, who wrote the original "Mass Effect" game, has returned to Bioware. He broke the news on his personal blog. However, he won't be working on the latest iteration of his original creation. During the announcement of his return, Karpyshyn, who is also the man behind "Knights of the Old Republic" and "Star Wars: The Old Republic," answered a certain question before it was even thrown at him.

"I suspect a lot of folks are going to wonder if this means Bioware is about to announce a new project tied to my return," he wrote. "The short answer: no. I originally came to the Austin studio many years ago to work on 'SWTOR' and – at least for now – that's what I'm focusing on again."

Meanwhile, no release date is set yet for "Mass Effect: Andromeda."
