BioWare has rolled out the latest update for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" called 1.06 patch. It is said to make changes to various areas of the game, but it mostly focuses on the cinematic scenes and improvements for multiplayer.

The game developer had published the patch notes on its official website's blog before the update was released. The blog states that the cinematics have been improved, particularly in the opening hours of the game. Additionally, BioWare has been able to address various player-reported issues, which include the glitch that caused SAM to repeatedly inform Ryder that he has received a new email, even when he has not.

Another change that comes with the latest patch is with the dialogue options. Players will no longer see it "greyed out" when there is still a new dialogue to be heard.

As BioWare has received plenty of community feedback regarding the balance issues in multiplayer, with powers and weapons, particularly power combos and assault rifles, underperforming at higher difficulty levels, it has included the necessary improvements in the update. "We found current damage levels significantly slowed the pace of games on Gold and Silver difficulties," BioWare states. "To fix this, we started to overhaul the balance in multiplayer. Today's changes are the first step in that process."

According to GameSpot, included in the multiplayer tweaks are the increase to the base damage of powers and some weapons, especially shotguns, which have been enhanced to inflict more damage and have higher accuracy.

Polygon has reported that the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" 1.06 patch weighs just a little over 1 GB. There is also some good news for those who have the Deluxe Edition or Super Deluxe Edition. They will receive new freebies with the patch, such as two Nomad skins, a casual Pathfinder outfit, and an exclusive multiplayer pack that offers greater odds at getting an ultra-rare item.
