As he has always been through the years, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is at it again, giving his inputs with no holds barred.
With his son already retired, the elder Mayweather now takes some shots at the other boxer who is planning to hang it up — Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.
As everyone perhaps knows by now, Pacquiao is set to take the ring for reportedly the last time on April 9, 2016 against a yet-to-be determined opponent.
There are three names looming as Pacquiao's final opponent — Amir Khan, Terence Crawford, and Timothy Bradley Jr.
Khan is someone who has had a past with the Mayweathers. In particular, he was shunned as Floyd Jr.'s opponent for the latter's farewell fight last September.
Everyone knows that Floyd Jr. eventually opted to go with a lesser known fighter in Andre Berto in what was technically a ho-hum fight since everyone knew the outcome even before the opening bell.
Per Mayweather Sr., he doesn't feel Khan deserves to be Pacquiao's next opponent. He believes that Khan has a glass jaw and will go down easily with a timely hit from the Filipino boxer.
For his part, he feels that Crawford is a more interesting opponent who is bound to give Pacquiao problems. Crawford is a relatively unknown but dangerous fighter for Pacquiao which seemingly makes him a favorite to end up being the eight-time division champ's final dance partner.
Apparently, Floyd Sr., shares the same sentiments with most of the people behind Pacquiao when it comes to Crawford being the final opponent. There are still some who believe that Khan could be equally interesting, although all that remains to be seen.
Pacquiao reportedly has no preference on whom to fight and his final opponent will likely be announced by the first quarter of 2016.
