Los Angeles Lakers NBA 2015 roster news: Kobe Bryant absent again in loss to Magic due to back woe

All those years of playing on the hardcourt may have taken its toll on Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant who was out again for the second consecutive game because of a sore back.

Bryant missed Tuesday's 101–88 loss to the Miami Heat and also sat out in Wednesday's 101–99 defeat to the Orlando Magic.

The Lakers now lost three straight games, after getting their lone win of the 2015–16 season against the Brooklyn Nets last Friday.

In a report by ESPN after Los Angeles' defeat to the Heat, Bryant said he had trouble walking and was experiencing back woes during training camp but just could not "shake it free" during the day they were facing Miami.

Despite the recent injury, the 37-year-old basketball star is not worried that it will be a major setback to his season.

"It's soreness and something that I can knock out with a little rest, a little treatment. It's not like an injury-injury," Bryant said, according to ESPN.

The five-time champion is not looking forward to getting another season end abruptly due to an injury.

Following their game against the Heat, the Lakers again missed Bryant in another tough loss this time facing Orlando.

But Lakers head coach Byron Scott is optimistic about Bryant's playing status when they continue their road trip this Friday taking on the Dallas Mavericks.

"I've got a pretty good feeling that he'll be ready Friday, from just talking to him. His back felt better today," Scott said before the defeat to the Magic, according to the Los Angeles Times.

However, Scott did not give any certainty, saying that only Bryant can tell because it is his body adding that if he can play then he will, but if he needs rest or is hurt then he will have a day off.

Bryant is averaging 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per contest this season which are good numbers, but his shooting is something that he needs to work on as he continues to struggle.
