The production for "Longmire" season 5 is in full swing. Director TJ Scott has just teased that the filming for the seventh installment of the season is now complete.

The Canadian film and television director has already filmed episodes from previous seasons of the series and for "Longmire" season 5, he is directing an episode titled "The Good Memory."

Scott also did some location scouting for the "Longmire" season 5 episode he directed, ending up picking Santa Fe, New Mexico as the spot, which seemed to have paid off.

Since Scott was in charge of directing the season's seventh episode, there are only three more episodes to go before the "Longmire" season 5 filming wraps up. Early last month, Katee Sackhoff, who plays Vic in the series, confirmed that they are "halfway through." With that pace, the filming for the rest of the "Longmire" season 5 episodes should be complete by next month. Meanwhile, photographer and cinematographer Dennys Ilic was also involved in the "Longmire" season 5 shoot, calling his stint with Scott a "special project." He also thanked "the incredible and loving" cast and crew of the Netflix hit series.

As fans await for "Longmire" season 5, they could binge-watch the fourth season once again, this time in a much more staller visuals, by picking up the "Longmire: The Complete Fourth Season" Blu-Ray collection. It will be released on Sept. 13, in time for the expected fall premiere of the new season.

"Longmire" season 5 will see the return of Omar (Louis Herthum), a firearm expert who is known for helping Walt (Robert Taylor) by proving him some resource. His return hints that Walt will be needing him with ironing out some trouble.

Katee Sackhoff, who plays Vic in the series, teased that fans will be "excited" about his return. Even before Herthum's comeback was confirmed, viewers have already been hoping he will be back.

While an ally of Walt returns in "Longmire" season 5, a new foe will arrive in the person of "Nip/Tuck" alum Dylan Walsh. He will play the role of crime boss Shane Muldoon, whose ruthlessness is masked by his calm demeanor. Through this "Longmire" season 5 casting, Walsh reunites with her "Nip/Tuck" co-star Sackhoff.

"Longmire" season 5 is expected to premiere this September.
