Shots were reportedly fired at rapper Lil Wayne's Miami Beach mansion today, leading to fears that he could have been shot.

According to TMZ, a person called the cops and said that they will start a firefight with police officers, claiming that 4 people in the mansion have already been shot.

Cops have rushed to the mansion, which is located on La Gorce Island and a perimeter has been set up.

However, although the rapper was confirmed to be in Miami, he was not at his home when the alleged events happened.

Young Money tweeted: "Wayne is okay. Wasn't home during alleged events."

The news comes just weeks after a suspicious person was reported outside the home, which led to cops being called. The guy was let go because he was on public property by the time they arrived.

In 2013, Lil Wayne suffered from a seizure that led celebrity website TMZ.com to claim he was in a medically induced coma and near death.
