The second season of the hit adventure video game "Life is Strange" will feature a new group of characters who will follow Maxine Caulfield's footsteps of changing the course of time.

The International Business Times reports that the story of the game's heroine Max, the photography student who has the ability to travel back in time and change history, has ended. Game directors Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet confirmed this in their interview, stating that both Max and Chloe arcs are already closed. Its fifth and final episode was launched in October 2015.

"Whichever choice the player made, Max reached the end of her coming-of-age story, now she has grown up. She made her pivotal decision and the player helped to create her character, her feelings, her relationships. We like to think that we did our job as storytellers and game designers, we helped the players to meet their own personal version of Max and Chloe," they shared.

Fans of the graphic adventure video game were ecstatic when Dontnod Entertainment co-founder Alain Damasio told the French publication Alchimy back in December 2015 that there would be a second season. He said that he would be one of the contributors of the script in the sequel. "Life is Strange" was a big hit to those who like episodic game. PC World called it "one of the most poignant games of 2015" for its quaint and believable portrayal of Max and her struggles as a teenager.

Dontnod has yet to announce the release date for the upcoming season, but Video Games Blogger posits it will arrive either this year or in early 2017. In 2015, the game was launched in January, with the rest of the episodes airing within the same year. The game is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
