Lenovo Vibe X3 release date, specs and features: smartphone receives TENAA certification

The Lenovo Vibe X3, a smartphone that has largely resided in rumors and rumblings, has now reportedly been certified by China's TENAA.

For those who may not know, TENAA is China's telecom regulator, so getting its certification goes a long way towards confirming the release of an actual phone, which in this case would be the Vibe X3, according to GSM Arena.

The listing on TENAA's website regarding the Lenovo Vibe X3 doesn't provide all the information needed about this particular phone, but there is at least enough of it to formulate an idea of what the new device will be like when it does come out.

First off, there are conflicting reports about what processor the Vibe X3 might be equipped with. Some rumors have suggested that the new phone will likely feature a Snapdragon 810 chip, while others say it will be the Snapdragon 808. In either case, the processor will be paired up with 3 GB of RAM.

Lenovo's Vibe X3 will also reportedly come with 32 GB of internal storage, although that will be expandable through using a microSD card.

The new phone will also supposedly feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, which would be interesting, given that earlier leaks had suggested that the Vibe X3 was likely to have a 5-inch screen, according to Android Headlines.

Lenovo's latest offering will also come equipped with a 21-megapixel rear camera that will be partnered up with one up front offering eight megapixels.

Other features of the Vibe X3 include a fingerprint scanner situated on the phone's rear panel. It has also been equipped with dual speakers up front and will be running the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system when it is officially released.

Speaking of a release date, the TENAA listing unfortunately offered no new details on that front, so people eager for the Vibe X3's arrival will just have to wait a little longer for the news.
