LeBron James 'Blue Lagoon' release date this weekend; price

Basketball superstar LeBron James recently signed a deal with Nike and is now under a lifetime deal with the sportswear company.

According to ESPN, the said deal is considered the largest in the history of Nike involving only one athlete.

"We can confirm that we have agreed to a lifetime relationship with LeBron that provides significant value to our business, brand and shareholders," Nike said in a statement.

The terms may not have been disclosed to the public, but since it's a lifetime deal, it would only mean that there's a great amount of money involved.

Business Insider gathered speculations from reporters about how much James' deal with Nike is worth. There was a speculation that the deal may be worth $400–$500 million and another mentioned that it could exceed $1 billion.

The 30-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers power forward also expressed his thoughts about sealing the deal with Nike and what it means to him.

"It meant a lot to me even when I signed my first deal just to be with Nike, and it means even more that they've given me this," James said, according to ESPN's report.

"It's like I said, very humbling and grateful, and I'm going to continue to do my job and represent the brand the best way I can, like I know how. Hopefully, people see that," he added.

The new deal only signals fans that there will be more releases from James' line. As for his latest signature, fans can catch the Nike Lebron 13 Blue Lagoon kicks, which is set to debut this weekend.

This pair of shoes stands out with grey and blue tones. What makes this latest offering from the Lebron line stand out is its iridescent tongue.

The Blue Lagoon, which has already been worn by James in court, is set to officially arrive to select Nike retail stores on Dec. 12, but Kicks USA is already offering the merchandise online for $200.
