Jill Duggar will finally give birth to her first child today.

The '19 Kids and Counting' star is currently in labor, according to an update from her husband, Derick Dillard, who announced on the family's website blog that Jill is in labor.

He wrote: "I can't even describe right now the anticipation I am feeling, as I am about to get to meet my firstborn son for the first time face to face. So many people have already testified that nothing can quite describe that moment and that I'll just have to experience it for myself.

"When I look around, I can see new life everywhere. The trees are budding, which means summer is near. My wife, Jill, is beginning to have contractions which means that the birth of our son is near."

Jill's initial due date to give birth to Baby Dilly was March 24. She as already over one week overdue but kept herself busy while awaiting the arrival of her son. She recently shared a selfie on her Instagram account (@jillmdillard) which shows her doing some work on her notebook and laptop.

"Getting some things done while anticipating the arrival of our little man any day!" she captioned it.

When not working, Jill kept busy by reading scripture. She recently shared a photo of a Bible passage, Psalm 31:24 which says: "Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!", together with lyrics to the song "While I'm Waiting" by John Waller. "The lyrics to this song go right along with that verse and will be a good reminder when labor comes!" she said.
