A new actress will be joining the cast of "Jane the Virgin" as Luisa's (Yara Martinez) love interest. Meanwhile, Rafael (Justin Baldoni) moving on with Catalina (Sofia Pernas) might not be good for Jane (Gina Torres).

Deadline reports that "The Last Ship" actress Elisabeth Rohm was signed on to be Luisa's new love interest, which is going to be a major recurring role in "Jane The Virgin" season 3.

Rohm will play a gentle guru named Eileen who exudes tranquility. But how Luisa will meet Eileen is still a mystery. Luisa has had a thing for bad women, but with a kind person soon on her dating plate, it may finally be time for her to have a change of heart in "Jane the Virgin."

Her brother, Rafael, will also have a new love interest on the show. Jane's cousin — Catalina — came to visit and had sparks and a romantic dinner with Rafael. It seems that Rafael is really ready to move on.

In an interview with Indiewire, "Jane the Virgin's" executive producer Jenny Snyder shared, "He's a great-looking guy and he's going to have ladies in his life, and he really did love Jane but I thought it was an important character step for him to watch Jane get married and to have that affect him too. Because who would he be if he's just constantly skulking around the background?"

Snyder also said that Rafael moving on has now allowed them to develop more storylines for "Jane the Virgin," such as Rafael dating someone Jane doesn't like and exploring the possibility of this person wanting to get involved with Mateo.

If Catalina is the one that Snyder is referring to, this can complicate the already existing family issues and Jane will really have a lot to to face in the show's third season.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 airs every Monday at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
