Liv (Rose McIver) will be a key person in a murder case involving a woman who fell to her death in the upcoming episode of The CW series "iZombie."

In "Real Dead Housewife of Seattle," TV Guide reports that Liv will eat the brains of a recently murdered trophy wife who is pushed to her death by a hit man from her home's balcony. She and Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) will then question the suspects on her murder to search for the real mastermind behind the homicide. Meanwhile, Peyton (Aly Michalka) has returned to Seattle, surprising Liv and Ravi (Rahul Kohli).

In an interview with Collider, co-creator/executive producer Rob Thomas talked about the reappearance of Michalka's character in the series. He said that if last year, she was largely "a sounding board," she would be playing a bigger role this season.

"This year, she is very much in the thick of it. She comes back in her assistant D.A. position. She gets asked by the D.A. to take over the Utopium task force, and that puts her right in the thick of the action," Thomas shared.

As for Ravi, who developed an interest for Peyton in the latter part of the premiere installment, the executive producer promised that viewers will see "a little bit of a love life for him." Thomas said that originally, they had decided to not push through with the Ravi–Peyton relationship for season 2, as they were both going in different directions. But when they shot the first scene, they just had to reconsider.

"They're just so good in that scene that I had to rethink everywhere I wanted to take that. He will also be incredibly involved with trying to remake a cure and trying to locate the tainted Utopium," Thomas said.

"iZombie" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
