More and more pieces of information on the iPhone 7 are being leaked as its suspected release date nears.
An individual from the Chinese microblogging site Weibo recently posted a two-and-a-half-minute video showing what is believed to be a sample of Apple's newest flagship smartphone being compared with the existing iPhone 6s.
Based on this video, which was reposted on MacRumors.com, the assembled 4.7-inch iPhone 7 unit will retain the dimensions of the current iPhone 6s.
There are, however, obvious differences between the most current iPhone model and the upcoming one. The Weibo video shows the iPhone 7 having a larger camera, with new lens surrounded by a bezel.
By the looks of it, the iPhone 7's camera is 25 percent bigger than the latest model, making it safe to assume that it will have significant upgrades to make the quality of phone photos even better.
The iPhone 7's camera also conspicuously protrudes from the body of the new phone, unlike previous models where the camera is embedded inside the phone's casing.
Another marked difference in the iPhone 7 shown in the Weibo video is the missing headphone jack. According to 9to5mac.com, instead of a headphone jack, the upcoming smartphone has an additional speaker grille which Apple may market as "stereo" sound.
The website added that now that the headphone jack has been removed, Apple can introduce further improvements to the iPhone 7, such as a bigger battery. The iPhone 7 can also be fully waterproof and dust-proof due to this innovation, according to some rumors.
Also prominent in the video are the new antenna lines, which appear to be sleeker compared to that of the iPhone 6s. They trace the top and bottom edges, unlike the current design where the antenna lines stretch across the back.
The iPhone 7 is reported to be released this September.
