iOS jailbreak: Tweaks for versions 8.4.1 and 9

 Apple Official

The newest jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 has now been released; now, users can take advantage of some pretty handy tweaks to make their iPhones even better.

Before diving headfirst into what those available tweaks are, it's worth noting that the jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 came from Luca Todesco, a known expert in the craft. Todesco teased the potential release of his jailbreak back in September and he was finally able to follow through on that promise by Friday last week, according to International Business Times India.

Thanks to his hard work, iPhone users now have access to a whole new level of functionality. The tweaks that are now available for iOS 8.4.1 come courtesy of Cydia as well, so that must be installed first before moving forward.

The first notable Cydia tweak is the Multiplexer. This tweak allows users to deploy six different multitasking tweaks in one, allowing for more tasks to be completed in one go. It's a big help for those who like to have a lot of things running on their iPhones at any one time.

Another notable tweak for iPhone owners to look for is Winterboard. This tweak gives users the ability to install themes onto their iPhones, thus providing it with an entirely new appearance. Users can select from free or paid themes to download for their iPhones.

As much as some iPhone owners may want to get their hands on these Cydia tweaks, the unfortunate news is that not all will be able to do so. The newest jailbreak is again only offered for the iOS 8.4.1, meaning those who have gone beyond that iteration may no longer be able to get it.

On top of that, Apple has also stopped signing for both the iOS 8.4.1 and 9, meaning those that have previously upgraded and now want to downgrade will not be able to do, according to Forbes.

Those who have already gone beyond iOS 8.4.1 can wait for the new jailbreak to arrive when iOS 9.1 is launched later this year.
