iOS 7.1 jailbreak for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 an iPhone 5S may not come as Evad3rs focuses on iOS 8

The iOS 7.1 jailbreak for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S and older generations of the Apple iPads and iPod Touch may not be available.

The iOS 7.1 jailbreak for the iPhone 4, 4th generation iPod Touch and first-generation iPad was revealed last month, but the news was disappointing as it only applied to older Apple products. A video of the iPhone 4 running iOS 7 was tweeted by user @winocom.

There were rumors that the infamous Evad3rs would be releasing the iOS 7.1 jailbreak for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, but hopes for that have been dashed as it other reports state that the hacking group is focusing more on the jailbreak for the upcoming iOS 8, set to launch later this year.

iOS 7 was first revealed at the WWDC 2013 and launched in September. Apple may follow the same timeline as before and introduce iOS 8 at the upcoming event in June, before officially releasing it in Q3.

Latest models of Apple's gadgets are harder to jailbreak as they have improved security features pre-installed by the Cupertino-based company.

The jailbreak for iOS 7 was first released by Evad3rs in December 2013.
