Huawei continues the roll-out of the new P9 flagship. Speculations suggest that the next country to receive the flagship is India, with the Huawei P9 launching on the market next month.

According to Android Authority, Huawei recently sent out invites for a new product launch on Aug. 17, and the industry follower believes that the event is for the roll out of the new P9 flagship in the region. While Huawei has yet to come out with prices for the P9, it is expected that the new iteration will have almost the same prices as when it was launched in China. This means that Indian fans will have to shell out at least RS 45,000 for the base model, having 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage. Meanwhile, the top-tier version of the Huawei P9 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will have an expected price tag of RS 49,000.

The Huawei P9 made waves when it became official this year, as the China-based tech maker announced that it will have a dual-cam setup for its main shooter. When the new flagship was officially unveiled, it is revealed that the lens has been co-engineered with Leica, one of the top names in the imaging industry. First impressions and subsequent reviews place the Huawei P9 among the top performers in image capture because of this.

Meanwhile, the rest of the specs read out a top-tier iteration. The Huawei P9 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with full HD resolution, and has a slick and slim unibody design and form factor. Under the hood, the new Huawei flagship is powered by a new octa-core Kirin 955 processor with dual-SIM feature. It also comes out with a 3,000 mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Rumor has it that the Huawei P9 will also be one of the first flagships to update to Android 7.0 Nougat, as supposed firmware files have already leaked online.
