After all the rumors that circulated online pertaining to the alleged HTC "Aero" device, there's new word saying that the upcoming product from the Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer will be called the HTC One A9.

Prolific tipster Evan Blass posted on Twitter the new name of HTC's soon-to-be released smartphone but without adding any further details about the product.

If the leaked information turns out to be true, then this will be the first time that the Taiwanese mobile firm will release a flagship device outside the M-series. The recently released HTC One M9 performed poorly in sales, and it seems like moving away from the M-line is one of the company's efforts in reinventing itself.

Previously, Cher Wang, the new CEO of the company, reportedly announced during an investor's meeting that a "hero" smartphone device will be launched this year, and it is believed to be the alleged HTC One A9.

Based on past reports, the company's next flagship product will be the first in the market to feature a deca-core processor called Helio X20 from MediaTek. It will also come with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels and 4 GB of RAM. Its primary camera is also rumored to come out with a feature that can support RAW photography, and will be powered by a 3500 mAh battery for a longer battery life.

But based on a recently released leaked photo of the rumored HTC device in the Chinese social media site Weibo, the design of the new HTC One A9 looks a lot like Apple's iPhone 6 product line, particularly in its back design.

According to reports, the alleged HTC One A9 will be distributed in the U.S. by AT&T. There are no details yet regarding its official release date, but it is speculated to be released in early 2016. HTC is expected to announce the product any time before the end of the year.
