"House of Cards" season 4 is expected to be released in February next year given that the past seasons premiered in the same month. However, according to a report from NetflixLife, it is likely that the fourth season may be pushed back a bit, based on the release dates of previous seasons and the pattern that they form.

In comparison, season 1 premiered on Feb. 1, 2013; season 2 premiered on Feb. 14 last year; while season 3 premiered last Feb. 27. It is speculated that the next season will premiere on Feb. 26, which falls on the Friday schedule the show premieres on.

However, as the release date for each season pushed out toward the end of February, there is also a possibility that season 4 will premiere in early March. If the series continues with the recurring pattern, the fourth season might open in the first week of that month.

The report also mentions that there were also speculations of season 4 being pushed as far back as fall 2016 in order to coincide with the 2016 presidential elections. However, this rumor has not been confirmed nor denied. Netflix has given no official statement with regard to the show's premiere or any comments regarding any rumor.

"House of Cards" season 4 will continue to tell the conflict between Frank (Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire (Robin Wright) as they deal with the presidential elections and their crumbling marriage. A new, younger couple that mirrors the dynamics and power of Frank and Claire will arrive and it is speculated these new players may force the duo to reunite.

"House of Cards" season 4 will see the introduction of Neve Campbell and Colm Feore in currently unidentified roles.
