'Heroes of the Storm' update: Two 'Diablo' characters being added to the game

Two new characters are being added to "Heroes of the Storm," and they will be familiar to fans of the "Diablo" franchise.

The first of the two new characters is Xul the Necromancer.

Xul brings a varied skillset to "Heroes of the Storm."

Most notably, the Necromancer class in "Diablo" was famous for allowing players to create minions of their own by using the corpses strewn all over the battlefield, and that same skill will be featured by Xul.

In addition to being able to raise his own squadron of undead minions, Xul will also have the ability to inflict foes with poison damage as well as other maladies designed to impair their skills on the battlefield.

Xul's specific array of skills will likely make him a very capable split pusher inside "Heroes of the Storm," according to GameSpot.

The second character being added to "Heroes of the Storm" is Li-Ming, a character fans might recognize as "Diablo III's" Wizard.

As could be expected from a character that will be relying on a variety of spells, Li-Ming will be capable of doing heavy damage while on the battlefield. Her long range attacks can also make her a nightmare to deal with, especially for characters that take a while to develop inside the game.

The one downside to Li-Ming is that players who will be choosing her inside "Heroes of the Storm" will also be asked to deal with her inherently high skill requirement, according to PC Gamer.

Her skills demand precision from the players to be used as effectively as they can be, and that may be too difficult a task to pull off especially for those who are still new to "Heroes of the Storm."

Blizzard has yet to announce when both Xul the Necromancer and Li-Ming might be added to "Heroes of the Storm."
