'Halo 5' news: Three new game modes being added in February

 Halo Waypoint

"Halo 5" players can look forward to new gameplay experiences coming via the addition of three different game modes.

"Halo 5" multiplayer designer Max Grossman talked more about the new game modes in a recent post on Halo Waypoint.

First of the new game modes being added to "Halo 5" is actually one that may already be familiar to long-time fans of the franchise.

Grifball is being reworked to fit in better with "Halo 5." In pursuit of that, the developers have even brought in Grifball expert Jeffrey "Nokyard" Fischer to talk about what possible improvements could be made to the game mode.
Fischer's input has, apparently, been used to help tweak a lot of the game's modes features, including how the weapons will work.

Fans will find out more about the improvements later on, and they can also look forward to the addition of a "Halo 5" Grifball Court that will be released alongside the new mode.

A new game mode, known simply as Assault, will also be added to "Halo 5."

Assault is a revamped version of the Neutral Bomb Assault mode, and while it may be somewhat familiar to some players, there are still enough tweaks to make it seem like an entirely new addition.

For instance, the ball in Assault will spawn at different places throughout a match effectively, keeping players on their toes throughout. Changes are also being made to the ball carrier to help make that individual tougher to take down even as they make their way through the map.

Last up, the "Halo 5" development team has also announced that they will be bringing back Fiesta, taking the total number of new game modes set to be introduced up to three.

As of now, there's no firm release date for when the update containing the new modes will be added to "Halo 5," although it is expected to launch later this month, GameSpot reported.

More news about "Halo 5" and the other contents of the game's February update should be made available soon.
