Halo 5: Guardians, the most recent title in the series 343 Industries, Microsoft

The "Warzone Firefight" DLC for "Halo 5: Guardians," which was released back in June, was touted to be the final big DLC release for the game, but 343 Industries is still releasing small packs of DLC. The latest upcoming DLC has been teased on the official website and it hints at more maps, weapons and REQs.

As reported by Gamespot, the DLC has been stated to contain "new places to play" and "new REQs to wreak havoc with" along with brand new objects and specific features for the game's Forge building tool. These will be used to enhance multiplayer matches and to give creative players more options in making their own maps.

It has also been revealed that the DLC will contain a brand new content browser. This will make it much easier to look for community-made content. The full list of the features of the browser have yet to be revealed and explored but it is expectedf to allow players to bookmark their favorite community-made creations and favorite contributors.

Gamespot also reveals that the official name and release date for this upcoming DLC will be coming in the next few weeks although a more specific window has yet to be revealed. It is expected to be announced prior to the end of August in order to allow the DLC to be launched by this September.

While "Halo 5: Guardians" is only on the Xbox One, the blog post also reiterates that the game's Forge mode is going to be released for Windows 10 PC for free and will come with full keyboard and mouse support. It will also support 4K resolution monitors for gamers that own one.

It is further noted that the blog post also revealed several new units and other details about the upcoming RTS spin-off game, "Halo Wars 2," which will launch in early 2017.
