Rockstar Games recently released new DLC for the online gameplay feature of "Grand Theft Auto V." The new expansion, Executives and Other Criminals, unlocked a number of new in-game items for players.
However, much like previous DLC, the new expansion targeted luxurious living in Los Santos, and the new items like weapons, vehicles, and properties all have a hefty price tag.
To help players adjust and have the funds for the new items, Rockstar Games launched a weekend event, which gives more than ample rewards for "GTA Online" players.
In an announcement, Rockstar Games details all that players can get from the weekend event. Players who log in and play on the duration get double in-game dollars and reputation points as rewards, particularly for Adversary modes. In addition, the event also unlocks double rewards for all sea race missions.
As the new Executives and Other Criminals DLC lets players create and manage their own VIP criminal organization, the weekend event also holds discounted prices for in-game items to help players set up shop.
Items such as armor gear, weapons, vehicles, and accessories all have discounted prices, and some items like bulletproof tires, vehicle armor, and body armor have as much as 50 percent off their regular prices. In addition, since the new DLC introduces a Super Yacht to its roster of vehicle properties, the weekend event also slashes 25 percent off the price for Docktease services.
For hardcore fans who collect real-world items from the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, Rockstar Games is also giving away prizes for a sweepstakes promo through the Social Club Events page in "GTA Online."
The weekend event is ongoing and is slated to end on Sunday, Dec. 20.
In other news, speculations have floated online that Rockstar Games is not stopping with the Executives and Other Criminals DLC for this month. Reportedly, the developer will be launching a new, holiday-themed expansion in the coming days.
