The first patch for the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto V" has been released, and it fixed numerous issues for players.
In the patch notes for the 1.01 update released by Rockstar Games, the company detailed issue fixes that the update brought to the PC version of the urban exploration and mayhem detailed title. First of all, it addressed the weird glitch in the game's launch where players with symbol characters in their usernames couldn't launch or install the game.
Also, patch 1.01 updated the Rockstar Editor, the game's feature exclusive to the PC version. This option is for PC players to upload or highlight video clips from their gameplay. Now, when players use the Editor for video uploads on YouTube, the app will correctly resume where it left off if the Internet connection is interrupted, and will not start again from the beginning. For videos with deleted clips, the Editor loads the clips properly and will not cause the game to crash. Also, the game crash issue when Rockstar Editor is open while playing has been fixed.
Meanwhile, performance improvements to the gameplay and the game itself were also introduced with the 1.01 patch update. A fix has been added to the game's Launcher to make it run smoothly and properly and will not use most of the computer's CPU, which causes the game to stop and crash before. Graphics were also improved, with the frame rate correctly adjusting when the player drives and clicks controls simultaneously.
Players can also replace an existing vehicle from the in-game website even if the garage is full. Additionally, Crew Tire Smoke can no longer be bought by players who are not part of a Crew.
Aside from the Editor fixes, the patch update also caters to players who have "GTA Online" accounts. Now, they can transfer their online accounts to the PC version seamlessly.
