Android device owners looking for a new handheld game to tide them over now have "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" as an option worth considering.
As an added incentive for players to get the game, Rockstar is currently offering it at the discounted price of $3.99. Players interested in getting the new mobile title at the discounted price will have to purchase it on or before Feb. 24, according to the game's official website.
Initially released for Android devices just about a week ago, the game allows players to take on the role of Toni Cipriani as he attempts to make his way up the ranks of the mafia. Toni had already previously held a position of power within the criminal organization, but time away from the group eventually led to him losing his once influential rank.
Interested players will also need to have an available device that is currently running the Android 4.0 OS or something newer in order to play the game.
The original version of "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" was released on the PlayStation Portable back in 2005. The game was also made available for both PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 later on.
This time around, the new version of the game will be a bit different as it will feature "shorter, streamlined missions" that have been designed to be more compatible with the new platforms. The good news is that even though the missions are shorter, the graphics have been enhanced to be more appealing on the new platforms, according to the game's Google Play listing.
Rockstar's mobile title has garnered mostly positive reviews thus far as it has earned a 4-star rating.
For those who may have missed it, "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" was also released for iOS devices back in December of last year, so most mobile gamers now have access to the open world title.
