A huge gap must be filled by the Green Bay Packers if wide receiver Davante Adams will not play in their Divisional Playoffs versus the Arizona Cardinals this Saturday because of a knee injury.

Adams is reportedly likely to miss the game because of a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) suffered in Green Bay's Wild Card Playoff win over the Washington Redskins.

In a report by ESPN, it was narrated how Adams got hurt when teammate tight end Richard Rodgers ended on top of him in the third quarter.

After the contact, Adams was limping and had to leave the game and never return, finishing with four receptions for 48 yards and one touchdown.

The report added that follow-up tests on the 23-year-old wide receiver's knee revealed a partial damage to his MCL which do not need surgery, but will take weeks or months to heal.

Adams' status versus Arizona for Saturday's playoff game is still uncertain and Packers head coach Mike McCarthy spoke about his receiver in a conference last Tuesday, 247 Sports reported.

"Davante Adams, he has a knee injury. And this is the way these things normally go. Davante told me after the game he was fine. The trainers obviously feel different than that, so he's somewhere in between. We don't practice until tomorrow," McCarthy stated.

"We'll do our normal Thursday type schedule tomorrow. We'll get on the field. Obviously Davante or any of the guys that had things come out of the game, we'll have a better read on," he also said.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals added a veteran piece ahead of their playoff opener, signing linebacker Jason Babin and adding linebacker Gabe Martin to the active roster from the practice squad, ESPN reported.

These moves were accomplished after defensive tackle Cory Redding was placed on injured reserve and outside linebacker Alex Okafor on the non-football injury list, the report added.

The Packers will be hosted by the Cardinals for the teams' Divisional Playoffs collision this Saturday.
