Green Bay Packers rumors: Three-game losing skid snapped with victory over Vikings

The Green Bay Packers are back on the winning track and are again on top of the National Football Conference (NFC) North after topping division rivals the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, 30–13.

Green Bay was storming through opponents in the first six weeks of the 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season, but following a bye week in Week 7, suffered three consecutive defeats.

But the Packers of old returned against the Vikings and one player had a notable performance in the win and it was running back Eddie Lacy.

Lacy has been struggling this season while dealing with injuries and was even replaced by James Starks for the starting position, but he played well against Minnesota.

Despite not scoring a touchdown, the 25-year-old led the rushing department for Green Bay having 22 carries for 100 yards.

As always, leading the Packers was franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers who completed 16 of 34 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns, also getting sacked twice.

"Maybe we'll get you guys off our back for a couple days. We've been taking it on the chin, rightfully so, the last three weeks after a couple real poor performances. This was an important week for us. We really stuck together," Rodgers said following the win, according to ESPN.

The 31-year-old also stated, "I think sometimes we play a little better when we start to get questioned."

Rodgers' first touchdown pass was caught by wide receiver Randall Cobb for a 10-yard score in the second quarter, and his second was to wide receiver James Jones for a 27-yard touchdown in the final quarter.

Jones finished the game leading all receivers with six receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown.

The Packers will head back to Lambeau Field for Week 12 taking on the Chicago Bears this Thursday, and will try to bounce back after losing in their home field in Week 10 facing the Detroit Lions last Nov. 15.
