The new promo for the upcoming midseason premiere of the hit FOX series "Gotham" season 2B gives viewers a sneak peek into Dr. Hugo Strange's (B.D. Wong) secret laboratory.

When the series returns on February, new villains are expected to arrive at the city and cause problems for Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD). One bad guy whom fans are particularly keen to see is the man behind the inhuman experiment in the underground Wayne Enterprises black-ops program, Indian Hill.

Dr. Strange is rumored to be resurrecting most of the felons who died during the eventful fight between the authorities and Theo Galavan's (James Frain) goons. These include Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan), Barbara (Erin Richards), and Theo himself. Even Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), who died in season 1 finale, will also be brought back to life, according to reports.

During the Q&A portion in the recently concluded Wizarding World Comic Con in New Orleans, McKenzie shared with the press a huge spoiler for season 2B. According to him, most of the important characters who perished in the past and current installments are slated to return. Although the actor did not mention how, it was clear that he was pertaining to Dr. Strange's work.

"Not only can we but we might. I can't say definitively but yes. I'll put it this way: almost nobody that you've seen go away is dead. They are all able to come back," McKenzie said.

In the teaser, the mad doctor and his laboratory are finally revealed. Dr. Strange looks undeniably wicked with his sideburns and trademark glasses. Inside India Hill, several pods with people peacefully floating inside can be seen. In one scene, Dr. Strange is looking satisfied as he checks his tablet, after one test subject appears to be successfully waking up from a deep sleep.

"Gotham" season 2 will return on Feb. 29 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
