It seems like the Golden State Warriors will have to play another game/s without reigning Most Valuable Player (MVP) point guard Stephen Curry, who re-injured his left shin in Saturday's 111–108 overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets.

The game versus the Nuggets was Curry's first game back after missing the Warriors' past two outings because of the injury, which he originally suffered against the Sacramento Kings a week ago.

According to ESPN, Curry left in the second quarter after Nuggets point guard Jameer Nelson appeared to have hit his shin while driving to the basket.

The contact may have been the reason why Curry's shin was again hurt and finished the game with only five points in 14 minutes played, the lowest scoring output he has had this 2015–16 National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season.

After the game, the 27-year-old complimented his teammates said, according to ESPN, "Chips stacked against them, short bench, guys playing 40-plus minutes, found a way to scrap and claw, get stops down the stretch, fight through the fatigue factor, make a couple plays on the offensive plays as well."

It is still uncertain if Curry will be back to action when the Dubs take on the Charlotte Hornets today, Monday, for the last game of a two-game home stand.

In 31 games played this season, Curry is averaging 29.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 2.2 steals in 34.1 minutes of action per contest.

The Warriors' record without Curry in two games this season is 1–1. They suffered the toughest loss of their season against the Dallas Mavericks (114–91) in his first game out, but bounced back versus the Houston Rockets (114–110) in the next game.

Golden State is still the best team in the Western Conference and the NBA with its 31–2 record, with the win over the Nuggets helping it match the best start to a season in league history.
