 FOX

Late actor Cory Monteith will appear on "Glee's" sixth and final season, according to the show's fellow actor Kevin McHale.

In an interview with The Sun, Kevin MacHale, who plays the role of Artie, said that the 13-episode final season of "Glee" will feature Finn and and the late actor will be part of one of the episodes in some way.

"His character was just an integral part of the show, so there's really no way to go on and see these characters grow up without him being a part of it in some way," he said.

"We're about to start filming our last season, but, as sad as that may be, I think that's that. We've had a really good run, and we've done some amazing storytelling, and we've got meet a lot of the fans around the world, which is pretty rare for a show to get to do," he quickly added.

Cory Monteith tragically died on July 31, 2014 at the age of 31. His death was due to a fatal mix of heroin and alcohol. Last season, the actor was given a lengthy tribute in the episode entitled, "The Quarterback."

Meanwhile, "Glee" will be on its final season and Fox's chairman and chief executive Peter Rice said that the show will go all out in celebrating the end of the series despite the reduced number of episodes. He also revealed that since this will be the series' final season and the number of episodes is shorter, the episodes will be aired in a straight-run with no commercial breaks.

Next season, viewers can expect a time jump and all of the characters will come back to the place where it all started – McKinley High School. Show creator Ryan Murphy welcomed everyone who wanted to come back for the series' final season.

"Glee" season 6 will be back on air in the spring of 2015.
