'Gilmore Girls' Netflix revival spoilers: Revival will ignore one thing from season 7

 Netflix

The upcoming "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" mini-series will serve as an official ending to the long-running show and will consider season 7, which was the only season not handled by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, as cano. But she confirmed that there is one aspect of season 7 she will disregard.

Speaking to TV Line, Sherman-Palladino confirmed that she did not watch season 7 given that she had no hand in its story or how it ended. However, she did call her friends who did watch the show and asked if her concepts for "A Year in the Life" would contradict anything that the seventh season established.

"I called them and went, 'We're thinking of doing this. What steps on it?' There was one thing I wish," she hinted. "I'm not going to tell you. It was the only thing where I was like, 'Ah, I'll go a different way.'"

She did state that she didn't really have anything against season 7 but there is just that one aspect that she wanted to change and now that she can with the revival series she will be making sure that it plays out as she originally intended before having to leave the series behind.

It is further noted that Sherman-Palladino has already planned the final scene of the series and the final four words. According to Sherman-Palladino those words would completely embody the series and make a lot of sense for fans of the show and is one of the most highly anticipated moments in "Gilmore Girls" history. However, she does recommend watching the episodes in the proper order instead of jumping straight to the finale just to hear the final four words.

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will premiere this Nov. 25 and will be comprised of four 90-minute episodes, each one taking place in a different season of the year.
