Jeff Franklin has released a statement following his firing from "Fuller House."

Franklin, the man behind ABC's "Fuller House" and its sequel on Netflix, has been recently fired after several staffers and writers accused him of sexual misconduct in the workplace. He had also been allegedly making sexual remarks regarding his own personal affairs while in the writers' room. In addition, he was said to have taken women he was dating to the "Fuller House" set and offering a few of them small roles on the show.

The showrunner finally broke his silence and issued a statement about his firing. Although he did not address the accusations against him, he did say making the two highly successful programs "has been the greatest joy."

"I'm heartbroken to be leaving 'Fuller House,'" Franklin posted via Instagram Wednesday. "Creating and running 'Full House' and 'Fuller House' has been the greatest joy. I wish the cast, my second family for over 30 years, continued success. I'm so proud of all we accomplished together, and beyond grateful to our loyal fans. Adios Tanneritos!"

Netflix, the streaming platform that launched "Fuller House," also released a statement on the matter and assured fans that the comedy program will return for season 4 "as planned." Production for the next installment is scheduled to begin in the coming months.

Original "Full House" characters who are now in the sequel include Jodie Sweetin, Cameron Bure and Barber as their Full House characters Stephanie Tanner, DJ Tanner-Fuller and Kimmy Gibbler. Also included on the roster are "legacy" cast members John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin and Bob Saget.

While Netflix does not release information about viewership, outside estimates claim "Fuller House" is one of the best-performing shows on the platform.

A new showrunner who will take over "Fuller House" season 4 has not been named.

The series, which received a renewal in January, is expected to air new episodes this year on Netflix.
