Florida woman bulldozes her neighbor's home because she didn't like them

A Florida woman is facing criminal mischief charges after demolishing her neighbor's mobile home.

62-year-old Ana Maria Moreta Folch hired a heavy equipment operator to destroy her neighbor Maria Gottfried's trailer and its septic tank on May 5.

Folch had a key to the trailer, and told the worker that the home was unoccupied.

$25,000 in damages were done before the owner  came home.

According to a police report, Gottfried said she had owned the mobile home since 2006, and never gave Folch a key.

She also said that she had never had a problem with Ms. Folch. Gottfried's husband declined to discuss the case.

Folch told St. Johns County Sheriff's deputies that she had the Dusty Road mobile home destroyed because the Gottfried family was "unsavory." She also accused the neighbors of breaking into her car, and said she was serving the community by getting the family out of the neighborhood.

A message left for Folch by The Florida Times-Union was not immediately returned.

The St. Augustine woman was charged with a third degree felony and was released May 7 on $10,000 bail.

Meanwhile, another dispute between two neighbors in Florida ended in a fatal shooting on Sunday.

61-year old Naples resident Robert Moulton shot his neighbor, 41-year old Sergey Chepchugov, after a ten year feud.

Sheriff deputies were called to the neighborhood 46 times over a dispute that began over the Moulton's dog jumping the fence and into the Chepchugov's yard.

The neighbors also argued about the boat Chepchugov planned to keep in their backyard. Chepchugov's wife, Olga Kolesnikova, told police that Mrs. Moulton went "ballistic" over the news. Kolesnikova took out a restraining order against Robert's wife Deborah Moulton.

On May 4, Chepchugov came into the Moulton's yard, and Mr. Moulton shot him. Afterwards, the Moultons refused to come out of the home for several hours until the SWAT team talked them into surrendering.

Moulton has been charged with second-degree murder, and his wife faces an obstruction of justice charge.
