The National Guards' true intentions will be revealed in the upcoming episode of AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead."

Comicbook reports that the people who are supposed to be good will turn out to be the bad guys in the zombie apocalypse series. The National Guards' true colors will finally be exposed and it will not bode well with Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Madison's (Kim Dickens) family. The government's plans for the entire neighborhood will reportedly be disclosed, which will force the two to come up with the best decision for their children.

Last episode, the soldiers forcibly took away Nick (Frank Dillane) instead of Daniel (Rubén Blades). He and Griselda (Patricia Reyes Spíndola) were supposed to be taken to a medical care facility nearby. But when the National Guards came to fetch them, they nabbed Maddie's drug addict son and even tried to convince Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez) to come with them.

It had been nine days since the apocalypse began, and viewers could see how the government had set up protective barriers around the East Los Angeles neighborhood. Soldiers were patrolling in armored vehicles, while signs cautioned the citizens about the strict enforcement of curfew.

Lt. Moyers (Jamie McShane), the National Guard's commanding officer, was seen telling the people that they were now on the offensive against the undead. He frequently mentioned that those inside the barriers were the lucky ones, and as long as they followed what the government told them to do, they would remain safe. The leader was also facilitating the participation of some people in a creepy health screening courtesy of Dr. Bethany Exner (Sandrine Holt).

Not one zombie was seen in the episode, but viewers got the scary feeling that the monsters were just waiting for their chance to pounce. With the National Guards finally revealing their scheme, will Travis and the rest of his family survive the brewing upheaval?

"Fear the Walking Dead" episode 4 will air on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
