'Fast & Furious 8' plot: Vin Diesel reveals film's title

During his speech at the Teen's Choice Awards 2015, actor Vin Diesel did not forget to honor the memory of his co-star and dear friend Paul Walker. "Furious 7" was voted Choice Action/ Adventure movie and the actor knows who to thank for this success.

"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about someone very, very important to us. One of the best blessings in our lives is that we have the opportunity to call Paul a brother. Paul Walker is here with us in spirit," Diesel said as quoted by Food World News

During his heartfelt tribute, he also revealed the title for the next movie, tentatively called "Fast & Furious 8."

He said, "This was a very special movie for us to make. We make these movies with our hearts. We really are a family ... We are a true, true, true family. I love all of you ... and until Fast 8."

The previous movie, "Furious 7," was a blockbuster. It stands as the biggest hit in the long-running action-packed franchise and the third highest-grossing film of all time after "Avatar" and "Titanic." The film scooped up a whopping $1.5 billion from across the globe.

With this unparalleled success, it wasn't a surprise that there will be a follow-up that eventually got the title "Fast 8." That said, Diesel and the gang will be back. It was confirmed that Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will be back, as well as more stunts, action, and explosions.

It is also being rumored that "Fast 8" will mark Eva Mendes' return. The actress first appeared in "2 Fast 2 Furious" back in 2003 as undercover U.S. Customs agent Monica Fuentes and reprised her role in "Fast Five" last 2011.

"Fast 8" is said to focus on Kurt Russell's Mr. Nobody. The film is slated for an April 14, 2017 release.
