"Fallout Shelter" on the Android could become available as soon as next month, according to Pete Hines, the Vice President for Marketing and Public Relations at Bethesda. Hines said the Android version of "Fallout Shelter" was making good enough progress that an August release date was well within the realm of possibility.

The iOS version of "Fallout Shelter" is already available. It was made available the very night Bethesda announced the launch of "Fallout Shelter" back at E3.

Within the first week of the game hitting the app store, "Fallout Shelter" immediately put up impressive stats for Bethesda.

The game immediately became the most frequently downloaded game in the Apple App Store upon release to 48 different countries. It also became the most downloaded app orf any kind in 25 countries, according to Polygon.

More in-depth statistics revealed the game's true popularity, with the numbers indicating that the game was being played over 70 million times in one day.

In addition, "Fallout Shelter" has turned into a cash cow for Bethesda. The game has been pulling in lots of revenue for Bethesda through its available microtransactions, according to Gamespot. Despite the robust revenue figures, Bethesda remained adamant that "Fallout Shelter" was not released for the sole purpose of hiking up profits.

In related news, Bethesda is offering lunchboxes at a significantly discounted price within "Fallout Shelter" in celebration of the Fourth of July, according to Touch Arcade

The lunchboxes are not essential to the experience of playing "Fallout Shelter," but upon purchasing one, players will receive new items which may sometimes come in the form of weapons and even accessories. Earlier in the week, a new character for "Fallout Shelter" was also made available to players, and they could acquire him by obtaining rare lunchboxes.

Aside from buying them, players can also obtain lunchboxes by completing objectives within the game.
