Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler will see his fourth starting stint in the 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season this Sunday, when they host the Oakland Raiders for Week 14 action.
Osweiler had his first start in their Week 11 victory over the Chicago Bears and since then the Broncos are undefeated at 3–0, including a huge win over the defending champions the New England Patriots in Week 12.
In a total of four games played this season (three starts), Osweiler has 73 completions for 832 yards and five touchdowns, also throwing three interceptions.
In a report on the Broncos' website, head coach Gary Kubiak announced last Monday that Osweiler will continue starting at the quarterback position while Peyton Manning undergoes the rehabilitation process for his foot injury.
Manning was left in Denver when the Broncos faced the San Diego Chargers on the road and won last Sunday.
According to ESPN, Manning worked with a Broncos trainer when he did not join the team in their trip to San Diego.
ESPN added in the report that according to Kubiak, they are looking for Manning to throw again this week.
"The process is, the thought is, maybe starting Wednesday, depending on how things go, we start to throw, start to do a little bit on-the-field type of stuff," Kubiak said.
"Working toward some football things this week, but it has been a good week for him," he added.
Manning was only expected to miss two weeks of action because of the injury, but after consulting with a specialist in Charlotte a few weeks back, it appears that the veteran needed more time.
Despite missing Manning, the Broncos are faring well under the leadership of the younger Osweiler whose performance is sparking up a debate on who should have the starting position when the veteran returns.
But in an earlier report, the Broncos are looking to return the starting quarterback position to Manning once he is healthy.
