Those who worried that Denver Broncos franchise quarterback Peyton Manning will not play this Sunday because of a foot injury have been pacified as he participated in Thursday's practice after missing the one last Wednesday.

Manning was present during Wednesday's practice but did not participate, with Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak saying that the foot injury has been bothering his quarterback for weeks now, ESPN reported before Denver's Thursday practice.

Speaking to reporters last Wednesday, Manning attributed the injury to the tear they are going through in the regular season.

"Who's not sore? What are we in? Week? What week is this? Nine? 10? You have natural soreness, but get some treatment on it and hopefully get a little better," Manning stated.

The 14-time Pro Bowler's injury was a concern since he is the leader of the Broncos who are on a roll in their first seven games before suffering their first loss in last Sunday's matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

In eight games played this season, Manning has 188 completions for 2,145 yards and nine touchdowns, also throwing 13 interceptions.

Against the Colts, the 39-year-old completed 21 of 36 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns, having two interceptions.

Now, the Broncos and Manning aim to get back on the winning column when they play the Kansas City Chiefs at home.

The Broncos are leading the American Football Conference (AFC) West with a 7–1 record while the Chiefs are on the third spot with a 3–5 record.

Denver is likely to win the division with the way it is performing this 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season.

But besides Manning, another Bronco missed Wednesday's practice and was also unable to participate this Thursday.

NFL.com reported that wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders missed both practices nursing an ankle injury but is expected to play against Kansas City.

In eight games this season, Sanders has 46 receptions for 639 yards and four touchdowns.
