The Cleveland Cavaliers will be adding a big man in their roster as they agreed to a two-year deal with Russian center Alexander "Sasha" Kaun who was drafted in 2008.

Kaun was originally selected by the Seattle Supersonics but his rights were sold to the Cavaliers on draft night.

Since then, he played with CSKA Moscow and last season in the Euroleague, averaging 9.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Kaun played collegiate basketball for the University of Kansas for four seasons and was part of the Jayhawks squad that won the 2008 national championship.

The 30-year-old seven-footer will not be having a hard time adjusting to his new head coach as he had been under David Blatt before as part of the Russian national team that won a bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics.

Kaun will likely be a backup to fellow Russian Timofey Mozgov who was also part of the bronze medal-winning team in 2012.

Cleveland will now have three centers in Kaun, Mozgov, and Tristan Thompson who is yet to re-sign with the team.

Thompson is looking for a long-term deal but his negotiation with the Cavs stalled and his agent said that his client will be playing his last year with the team this season if they forced him to sign a qualifying offer for one year.

Meanwhile, Kaun will join veterans point guard Mo Williams and forward Richard Jefferson as the newest additions for Cleveland this offseason.

Along with the two-year deal for Kaun, the Cavaliers also agreed on a two-year deal with free agent guard J.R. Smith who refused to exercise his player option early in the offseason to be a free agent.
